Plot
Son of Gold takes place during British colonial rule in India, where Thangalaan (Vikram), a fearless and skilled tribal leader, and his people are coerced by the British General Lord Clement (Daniel Caltagirone) to help locate hidden gold in their village. As the search progresses, the villagers’ actions incur the wrath of Aarathi (Malavika Mohanan), a mysterious and powerful sorceress. Thangalaan, determined to protect his people, must face Aarathi’s mystical powers, while also grappling with the complex dynamics of British colonial rule. The film combines adventure, action, fantasy, and history as Thangalaan embarks on a fierce battle to stop the sorceress and save his village.
