Plot:
Michael and his family embark on a life-changing sailing journey, but when a violent storm strikes, Michael and his dog are swept overboard. They wash up on a remote island, where they must struggle to survive in isolation. But Michael soon discovers he is not alone—an elderly Japanese man named Kensuke has lived on the island in secret since World War II. Initially angry at Michael’s arrival, Kensuke’s hostility gives way to an unlikely partnership when dangerous invaders threaten their peaceful paradise. Together, the boy and the old man must join forces to protect their hidden world.
